You can check when the nbn™ network is due to be installed in your street by clicking here.
As the nbn™ network rolls out, the old copper network will eventually be switched off, leaving homes to access the internet using a mix of different technologies, including fibre cables, fixed wireless systems and satellite networks.
Regardless of the technology that your home will use to connect to the nbn™ network, its introduction will require households to change the way they access the internet and telephone landlines. For homes that are still relying on the existing copper network to send signals to the Security Response Centre, the nbn™ network may affect their home’s monitoring functionality.
ADT Security is working closely with the government and its customers to ensure a smooth transition to the nbn™ network. However, it is important that you call us to check your system in preparation for signing up to the nbn™ network.
For those whose monitored home security system will be affected by the nbn™ network, ADT Security has introduced a cost effective, nbn™ compatible package that uses 3G connectivity. The offer includes a fully installed 3G communicator with SIM and back-to-base alarm monitoring.
If you’re unsure or concerned about how the nbn™ network will affect your monitored home alarm system or have any questions about how your alarm system will work when the nbn™ network arrives in your street, call us on 131 ADT.
Our team is available to answer any nbn™ related queries Monday – Friday, 8am to 7pm EST (press option 3 on the menu). Alternatively, email us on adtsales@tycoint.com and we will call you back at your stated preferred time.
